May 22, 2008 (WIC) – The victory achieved on May 28 has
laid the foundation to sustain development works carried out
in
Harrari State during the past 17 years as well as future
activities, Chief of the state underlined.
The Chief Administrator Murad Abdul Hadi, told
WIC in connection with the 17th anniversary of the downfall of
the Derge regime that encouraging results which laid the base
for peace, development and good governance endeavors have been
attained during the reported period.
Remarkable outcomes have been achieved in the
health, education, development of infrastructural facilities,
agriculture, investment, among others, he elaborated.
This year's May 28 celebration is unique as it
coincides with the millennium festival and marked at a time
the country registered successive economic growth for the
fifth time, the Chief Administrator said.
The day would be celebrated with panel
discussions, cultural events and photograph exhibitions, among
others, it was pointed out.
The Chief Administrator finally urged the
public to rise up in unison to further enhance development and
good governance works underway in the state. (END) |
