Addis Ababa, October 28, 2007 (Addis
Ababa)- Women's League of the Ethiopian Peoples
Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) in Addis Ababa said it
would rally behind the incumbent government in efforts geared
toward speeding up development and strengthening good
governance across the nation.
Political and organizational affairs head
with the league, Tsehaytu Bahta said women in the city would
do their level best in speeding up development and ensuring
democracy in the country during the new Ethiopian Millennium.
The head made the statement while
addressing a relevant discussion held here on Sunday.
The league would create situations to
enable women to benefit from the socio-economic and political
sectors, she said, women should exert utmost efforts to enable
themselves benefit from development activities.
The league would also continue
strengthening on-going efforts toward boosting the
participation of women in political arena, she added. (END) |
