Bahirdar, July 12 (WIC) - A seven-year Agriculture Marketing
Reform Program which could create conducive market ties by
producing quality marketable crops in Amhara State has
reportedly been underway.
Program Coordinator Teferi Wondale told WIC today that the
program was launched with 8.1 million USD allotted by
International Fund for Agricultural Development and the state
government two years ago.
The program is undertaking encouraging activities in capacity
building and market infrastructure sectors in 10 woredas that
produce marketable crops, according to the coordinator.
Various types of training were also given to over 2,134
farmers;sesame and cotton,spices as well as vegetables and
fruit producers and exporters, he said.
Activities on marketable crops productivity,production and
related areas would be carried out in other selected woredas,
