EPRDF urged the need to further scale-up best practices

Addis Ababa, September 23 (WIC) The Ethiopian Peoples Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) called upon the public to exert efforts further to scale-up the remarkable results achieved over the past 17 years.

Public Relations Advisor to the Prime Minister and Head of the Party’s Organizational Affairs, Bereket Simon, told WIC that EPRDF has registered numerous commendable results in all sectors across the country over the past 17 years.

He said EPRDF has been exerting efforts in agricultural and rural development, urban development and industry, micro and small-scale industry as well as in other sectors by employing efficient and effective working procedures.

The results attained through the efforts exerted so far are commendable and these achievements were registered because various sections of the society were able to appreciate and grasp the reform packages designed by EPRDF, he said.

EPRDF focused on the performance assessment of the decision passed on the 6th organizational congress as well as deliberating on plans for the coming two years in the recently concluded 7th organizational congress.

The congress deliberated on rural and agricultural development schemes, social programs, infrastructures development programs, foreign and international relations. It also passed a resolution to the effect that there is a need to expand the best practices that have been achieved so far in all these sectors, Bereket said.

Bereket finally said the congress had been conducted in a very democratic, transparent and participatory way. (END)
